Coventry City boss Frank Lampard has revealed that new signing Frank Onyeka is finally ready to make his debut for the club.
Frank Lampard has confirmed that January signing Frank Onyeka is finally ready to make his long-awaited debut for Coventry City.
The Nigerian international is set to feature in the Sky Blues' high-stakes Championship clash against Middlesbrough this Monday.
Onyeka, who joined on loan from Brentford on deadline day, has had a delayed start to his career at the CBS Arena.
He was granted compassionate leave to be with his wife last week, missing the goalless draw against Oxford United to welcome the birth of his second child, a baby boy.

Frank Lampard reveals Onyeka set to make debut
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Lampard expressed his delight at having the midfielder back in the fold.
"Yeah, he’s ready to go. He had a couple of days off, had the baby on Sunday/Monday, so yeah, he’s training with us," Lampard told reporters.
"It’s good to have a little bit of training time for him before we start to look at the game on Monday."
Onyeka arrives with a massive reputation after a bronze-medal campaign with the Super Eagles at the recent AFCON in Morocco. His arrival is seen as a major boost for Coventry, who currently sit second in the Championship table, just two points behind leaders Middlesbrough.
With a mandatory purchase clause in his contract should Coventry achieve promotion, the 28-year-old’s debut on Monday could be the first step toward a permanent return to the Premier League for both player and club.
