He can get us out of this situation — Van Nistelrooy blocks Ndidi exit amid 7-game losing streak
Leicester City coach Ruud Van Nistelrooy has shut down suggestions that they could sell Super Eagles ace Wilfred Ndidi this winter transfer window.
The 28-year-old was handed a contract extension by the club after his deal ran out last summer, with the new expiry date set for 2027, underscoring his importance.
Prior to his renewal, the former Genk man was linked with a spate of clubs. Those reports resurfaced in recent weeks but have been shut down by the head coach.

What Van Nistelrooy said
The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury during the 2-2 draw at home to Brighton last December and has been out of action since.
The Foxes have sorely missed him, as they have lost all seven league games played in the duration, with the only respite coming in the 6-2 thumping of Championship side QPR in the FA Cup.
Van Nistelrooy anticipates Ndidi’s return, and he believes the Nigerian could help them end their rut; hence, when asked about the transfer interest in the player, he lifted a glowing not-for-sale sign.
"No, of course not,” Van Nistelrooy said, when asked if Ndidi was for sale. “Wilfred is a key player & person in the squad. We know how much we've missed him and we know we need him. Wilf is key in the coming months, a key part of this team that can get us out of this situation."
