A Serhou Guirassy masterclass helped Borussia Dortmund end Barcelona's unbeaten run in 2025, but it was not enough to help them win the tie.
Borussia Dortmund dominated the match from start to finish, winning 3-1, but it was not enough to overturn the tie, as the Blaugrana had taken a 4-0 first-leg lead.
Serhou Guirassy scored a hattrick to send him top of the scoring chart. Despite his heroics, however, Dortmund needed two more goals to force extra time, and three more to win, as Ramy Bensenbaini put the ball in his own net to improve Barcelona's chances.

Key match details
Borussia Dortmund brought an infectious energy to the match, starting with a bright spark. They created many chances early on, a warning of what was to come.
They got the breakthrough in the 11th minute when Wojciech Szczesny's save attempt ended in a foul. The referee pointed to the spot, and Guirassy coolly converted the spot-kick with a Panenka-style finish.
Dortmund pressed further, creating chance after chance, and their persistence paid off when Guirassy headed home Ramy Bensebaini's flick-on after a corner.
Bensebaini was active on both ends of the pitch in the games, mostly to his team's benefit. However, he also contributed to Barcelona’s qualification bid with his own goal.
The goal, plus Pedri's inclusion, helped the Blaugrana wrestle back control. And when Barcelona looked set to hoard the ball until the final whistle, Guirassy scored again, his third of the night, to trigger a frenetic end.
However, Barcelona held on and have now booked a place in the Champions League semi-final for the first time since the 2018/19 season.
