Super Falcons forward and Nigerian football icon, Asisat Oshoala, is making a significant transition in her professional career by moving to the United States National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).

Her anticipated move to Bay FC, a club based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, comes as her contract with the renowned Spanish club Barcelona is set to expire this summer.

This deal, reportedly worth €150,000, signifies a new chapter for Oshoala, who has left an indelible mark on European football, particularly during her tenure with Barcelona where she clinched the UEFA Women's Champions League title twice.

According to reports from Sports Radio Brila FM, "Asisat Oshoala will seal a move to the United States National Women's Soccer League this week!

"Her current contract with Barcelona will be due by the summer and has chosen a new team, Bay FC in California for "personal reasons" for a reported fee of €150,000."

A New Challenge in the NWSL

Oshoala's decision to join Bay FC is not just a significant milestone in her career but also a major acquisition for the American club.

At 29, she brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success, including her impressive stint with Barcelona since 2019 after moving from Chinese club Dalian Quanjian.

Her achievements include multiple league titles and personal accolades, underscoring her status as one of the world's elite footballers.
