Eberechi Eze has had his fashion sense compared to Afrobeats sensation Asake after his appearance at London Fashion Week

Crystal Palace sensation Eberechi Eze has been compared to Afrobeats crooner Ahmed Oloade, aka Asake, after his appearance at London Fashion Week.

Eze, other Premier League stars rock London Fashion Week

Eze, who is of Nigerian descent, was spotted alongside other Premier League stars, including Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Totteham’s Heung-Min Son, at the fashion show and caught the eye with his outfit.

The Crystal Palace man was of particular interest to Nigerian fans after pictures of his ensemble hit social media, and the midfielder’s dress sense was compared to that of the hitmaker Asake.

Eze was dressed in a tight-fitting white and red checkered long-sleeve top, accompanied by red baggy jeans, which was immediately flagged by keen observers.

Asake is also known to appear in similar ensembles and has made the baggy jeans and tight-fitting long-sleeve shirts his trademark look, so it was easy for fans of football and music to identify the matching look from Eze.

The England international was dubbed Asake 2.0 by some, while others asked if the Premier League star had been getting fashion tips from the Afrobeats sensation.

Others also claimed that Eze’s fit was a tribute to his ancestry in Nigeria, comparing his fashion choices with stereotypes of people from his would-be ethnic group.

Eze, who was targeted by Arsenal over the summer, is considered one of the biggest prospects in English football at the moment and has already earned a call-up to the England national team, playing twice for the Three Lions.
