Dusan Vlahovic: Manchester United target wantaway star as Osimhen, Gyokeres hopes fade

Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyökeres has been one of the hottest properties on the market this summer.

After two standout seasons in Portugal, the 27-year-old former Swansea City and Coventry City striker has attracted interest from several of Europe’s elite clubs.

However, the steep price tag attached to the Swedish forward has deterred potential suitors, including Manchester United, who have reportedly conceded defeat in their pursuit and shifted focus elsewhere.

Reports indicate that Manchester United are now targeting Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović. With only one year left on his contract and Juventus securing Randal Kolo Muani permanently this summer, the Turin club may be open to cashing in on Vlahović.

Despite the Serbian’s solid record of 56 goals in 144 appearances for Juventus, including 15 in 42 games this season, the club could look to move him on.

For Manchester United, signing Vlahović at a reduced fee could prove a shrewd move by manager Ruben Amorim and the board, offering a cost-effective way to bolster their attack and climb the Premier League table.
