Real Madrid have inadvertently disclosed Dean Huijsen’s Club World Cup availability after announcing the defender’s signing from Bournemouth.
The 20-year-old will join Los Blancos in the summer in a deal worth £50 million (€59.5 million) after the Spanish giants triggered his release clause.
The Dutch-born Spain international has featured in 30 Premier League games for the Cherries since his €15.2m move from Juventus in July 2024.

However, Huijsen will now play for Real Madrid after less than 12 months in English football.

The short answer is yes. While Los Blancos’ announcement did not explicitly state the defender’s availability, his switch should be completed at the start of June, effectively indicating that the young centre-back will be included in Los Blancos’ squad.
“Real Madrid C. F. and AFC Bournemouth have reached an agreement for the transfer of Dean Huijsen, who will be linked to our club for the next five seasons, from 1 June 2025 to 30 June 2030,” read Real Madrid’s announcement.
The Club World Cup will be held from June 15 to July 13 2025.
