With Moises Caicedo suspended for Chelsea, Enzo Maresca gave fans more dreaded news ahead of Club World Cup quarter-final against Palmeiras.
Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Chelsea will make a late decision on Romeo Lavia, who sustained a muscular injury against Benfica.
The former Southampton midfielder has featured in all four of the Blues' games in the Club World Cup, mostly alongside Moises Caicedo.
With the Ecuadorian suspended for the Club World Cup quarter-final, Maresca's men will require a midfield reshuffle on Friday night's fixture in the United States.

What Maresca said
Speaking in Thursday's press conference, the Chelsea boss revealed the Belgian's status for the Club World Cup quarter-final.
“We will try tomorrow,” said Maresca. “He had a small problem at the end of the last game against Benfica.
“It’s just a muscle problem and tomorrow we will see if he’s fit. Otherwise we will find different solutions because Moi (Moises Caicedo) is also suspended. So we will need to find different solutions.”
