AC Milan came back from a goal down to claim a comfortable victory over Bologna on Friday night.

Samuel Chukwueze, who has found it difficult to get into the AC Milan first 11, came in as a substitute in the game.

His introduction in the second half helped to rejuvenate AC Milan’s attack and went on to score three goals to turn things around, winning 3-1 on the night.

As it happened

Sergio Conceição started Christian Pulisic and João Felix while Raphael Leão was suspended, leaving Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze on the bench.

AC Milan started the game well but failed to take their chances in the first half and were punished by the visitors after Riccardo Orsolini scored the opening goal, entering the second half.

However, upon the introduction of Chukwueze, AC Milan became potent in attack, with Santiago Gimenez equalising before Pulisic gave the hosts the lead.

In injury time, Gimenez sealed the win with the third goal, with Chukwueze providing the assist to crown his effort.

The win puts AC Milan in eighth position in the standings, three points off fourth-place Juventus in the chase for next season’s European football.
