Chiamaka Nnadozie helped the Nigeria Super Falcons overcome a stubborn Ethiopian team in Abuja in the Paris 2024 qualifiers.

Super Falcons’ goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has reacted to Nigeria’s emphatic performance against Ethiopia in the Paris 2024 qualifiers. 

Nnadozie showcased her skills as the Falcons thrashed their visitors 4-0 at the MKO Abiola Stadium, in Abuja, on Tuesday evening. 

The talented goalkeeper not only managed to secure a clean sheet this time but also had some heartfelt words of appreciation for her fellow Nigerians.

Nigeria vs Ethiopia: Nnadozie leads

An outstanding performance from the 22-year-old in between the posts played a vital role as Nigeria Super Falcons secured a place in the final round of matches in the Paris 2024 qualifiers.

She was her usual calm self and displayed that ability to deny opponents from finding the back of the net as he added to her growing reputation as one of the best in the world. 

With Nnadozie solid in between her posts, it was the perfect platform for her attacking teammates to focus on getting the goals.

Uchenna Kalu opened the floodgates in the first half before Rasheedat Ajibade, who got a brace, doubled the advantage early on in the second. 

Kalu teed up Asisat Oshoala to make it 3-0 after the hour hour, with Ajibade, wrapping things up with her second of the game and Nigeria’s fourth.

Nnadozie praise Nigerians

After the game, the Paris FC goalkeeper took to social media to celebrate the clean sheet and express her gratitude towards Nigerians for their unwavering support.

She acknowledged their encouragement and enthusiasm as a motivating force for her and her Falcons teammates.

“+3 CLEAN SHEET NEXT ROUND,” she posted on her X.com account. “A BIG THANKS TO THE FANS FOR THEIR MASSIVE SUPPORT THANK YOU ABUJA,” she added.

The Paris 2024 qualifiers have witnessed fierce competition and Nigeria’s clean sheet against the stubborn Ethiopians, who held them to a 1-1 draw in the first leg, is worthy of celebration. 

Nnadozie will continue to prove decisive as Nigeria looks to cross the final hurdle on the road to Paris next year.
