The England international performed when it mattered, scoring in the big games to drag Chelsea from defeat.
His debut match against former club Manchester City showcased his composure under pressure, notably with the crucial penalty in extra time that leveled the game.
He also scored a remarkable hat-trick against Manchester United, followed by a stellar performance against Everton, where he became the first player this season to score four goals in a Premier League match.
He has started the new season on fire with 4 assists and a goal in his first three matches and is fully deserving of his nomination for the Ballon d'Or.
