Muslims gathered at Stamford Bridge last night for Open Iftar.

In collaboration with Ramadan Tent, Chelsea hosted Open Iftar at Stamford Bridge, opening the doors to their stadium for Muslims in the community to break their fast.

Open Iftar, according to the club's website, is the biggest community gathering in the month of Ramadan, and Chelsea were host of it yesterday night.

As we reported several weeks back, Chelsea announced via their club website that they would be allowing Muslims in the community, in association with Ramadan Tent, to use the side of the pitch of Stamford Bridge for open Iftar.

The event was slated for March 26, while club football is on break, and last night, per videos from Sky Sports, Stamford Bridge was the venue for an Open Iftar.

Hundreds of people were reportedly in the Chelsea home ground last night to have Iftar as a community, and they were seen dining and socialising.

What is Iftar?

After a day of fasting, Muslims break their fast with a meal called Iftar. In many places, the meal is shared as a community, and it is sometimes accompanied by other activities.

Chelsea opened up their Stadium as a venue for a community iftar last night, after a collaboration between Chelsea Foundation and Ramadan Tent.
