It was a bittersweet night for Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi as he got on the scoresheet for Nottingham Forest against Exeter in the FA Cup, but was forced off after a nasty collision with the opposition goalkeeper.

Despite the injury to their giant forward, Nottingham Forest managed to get past Exeter to reach the FA Cup fifth round, but their League One opponents made them earn the victory on penalties.
Exeter push Nottingham Forest all the way
The Premier League side were pushed to their limits by Exeter and had to rely on a penalty shoot-out to secure their place in the next round of the FA Cup.
The Tricky tees suffered an early setback, going behind after only five minutes as Exeter took the lead through Josh Magennis.
They were level 10 minutes later as Ramos Sosa scored to make it 1-1 with a simple finish to dash the hosts' hopes of keeping Nottingham Forest at bay having scored first.

The visitors were soon in front after Awoniyi found the back of the net with a brilliant strike from outside the box with only a few minutes to half-time.
With Nottingham Forest looking like favourites for the win after taking the lead, Exeter did not allow that notion to last as they swiftly found an equaliser five minutes after the break to make it 2-2.

As the game ebbed towards extra time, Nottingham Forest suffered another blow as Awoniyi was forced off the pitch with a head injury after a nasty collision with Exeter goalkeeper Joe Whitworth.
Despite the loss, Nottingham Forest rallied to win the tie on penalties after substitute goalkeeper, Mats Selz saved one of Exeter's penalties, while another was denied by the post.
