Mauricio Pochettino will resume official duty as the new boss at Chelsea in July but has already drawn up a massive list of 17 players to leave the club with Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Edouard Mendy included.

African stars Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Edouard Mendy are set to leave Premier League club Chelsea this summer.

Aubameyang and Mendy lead a list of 17 players transfer-listed by the new manager at Stamford Bridge Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino to reduce Chelsea team

As reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, Pochettino has been appointed as the next permanent manager at Chelsea.

Pochettino replaces Frank Lampard, who had been the club’s caretaker manager following the sacking of former manager Graham Potter.

The 51-year-old has already put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the option for a further year.

Edouard Mendy has fallen out of favour at Chelsea.

However, despite not starting officially until July 1st, the former Tottenham boss has begun to put in place his plans for the club.

According to a report by Daily Mail, the new Chelsea boss, Pochettino, is looking to trim the size of his new team which has over 30 players.

Aubameyang started just five games at Chelsea last season.

Pochettino is hoping to let over 10 of those players leave this summer with Aubameyang and Mendy part of that group.

The Gabonese forward and his Senegalese counterpart have struggled for game time at Stamford Bridge with both players managing just 14 games in the Premier League starts last season.

However, it does seem their time at the Bridge is over after they were transfer-listed by the club.

Other players who are on the list include, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Hakim Ziyech is another player who is set to leave Chelsea.

Mateo Kovacic, Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are also listed alongside Joaa Felix and Denis Zakaria, who are both set to return to their respective parent clubs as their loan moves will not be made permanent while Mason Mount is in a man in demand.
