 With her remarkable rise in followership on Instagram, Oshoala has cemented her status as one of the most influential African female athletes in the world.

Oshoala's journey to social media stardom has been nothing short of extraordinary. 

Pulse Sports reports that ‘Agba Baller’ achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 1.3 million followers on Instagram, thereby tying with Tunisian tennis icon Ons Jabeur as the most followed African female athlete on the platform.

Jabeur, who had been leading the way as the most followed African female athlete on Meta’s platform is now joined by Oshoala at the top of the influential list.

However, as of the time of this report, Jabeur (1,324,056 followers) still edges out the six-time African women’s player of the year by over 290,000 followers on the platform with Oshoala still pegged at 1,309,884 followers.

 This impressive feat underscores Oshoala's global appeal and the impact she has beyond the confines of football stadiums.

Oshoala's meteoric rise in social media following has been a testament to her massive influence and charisma both on and off the field.

 From humble beginnings, her Instagram following has grown exponentially, with a surge from 1.2 to 1.3 million followers.

Notably, this surge begun during the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Oshoala, the highest-paid Super Falcons player, saw her following from 887,000 to hit and surpass the 1 million followers mark last year.
