Al Nassr vs Al Okhdood: Ronaldo moves closer to 1000 as Faris Najd maintain league lead

Cristiano Ronaldo is not slowing down, as he scored twice in Al Nassr's 3–0 victory against Al Okhdood to help the Faris Najd strengthen their hold on first position.

The Portugal international opened the scoring around the half hour mark, and hit his brace just before referee Faisal Sulaiman blew for half time. Joao Felix closed off the scoring in second half injury time as Al Nassr maintained their dominant start to the season.

The match began with Al-Nassr asserting dominance, controlling possession deep in Al-Okhdood territory from the first whistle.

They created multiple chances but eventually got the breakthrough in the 31st minute when Cristiano Ronaldo found the net with a composed right-footed finish.

Just before halftime, the Saudi giants doubled their lead. He jabbed it in from close range after Marcelo Brozovic picked him out in the box to make it 2–0.

The third goal came in the 94th minute through Joao Felix, who continued his incredible form in the Saudi top flight to help Jorge Jesus's side with a healthy scoreline.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo's brace inched him closer to becoming the first footballer to reach 1000 official goals. His current tally is 956 goals in 1297 matches, an incredible 0.74 goals per game ratio.
