The Saudi Pro League giants are still in the hunt for Nigerian superstar striker Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen’s future is once again in the spotlight as Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal table an astronomical offer to lure the Nigerian striker away from Europe.

Despite having rejected Al Hilal once before, the 25-year-old could still consider one of the most lucrative contracts in football history, as other suitors drag their feet.

Al Hilal prepare €160m deal to make Osimhen one of the world’s highest-paid players

According to Corriere dello Sport, Al Hilal have submitted a mind-blowing €160 million package, equivalent to ₦287.5 billion, for Victor Osimhen, hoping to beat European competition to the Napoli striker.

The deal includes a three-year contract worth €40 million per season, with an option for a fourth year, alongside a €75 million release clause payment to Napoli.

If accepted, Osimhen would instantly become one of the highest-paid footballers on the planet as Al Hilal continue to push to bring global superstars into the Pro League.

After a career-best 2024/25 season where he scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 games, Osimhen finds himself at the centre of an intense tug-of-war between prestige and financial security.

Galatasaray in waiting game as Saudi offer disrupts transfer race

Turkish champions Galatasaray had hoped to bring Osimhen back after his successful loan spell, offering him a key role and Champions League football.

Club vice president Abdullah Kavukcu even confirmed no other striker was being considered, stating, “We are only focused on Osimhen.”

However, Al Hilal’s financial power, and potential interest from Juventus and the Premier League has shifted the dynamics, pushing Galatasaray into a waiting game.

Osimhen’s camp is reportedly weighing all options, including lifestyle and long-term ambition, but Saudi Arabia’s unmatched offer could prove decisive if European heavyweights fail to make a late move.
