Frank Lampard speaks on the Stamford Bridge atmosphere ahead the Real Madrid Champions League clash.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has no doubt that the Stamford Bridge crowd will create an atmosphere to spur the team on against Real Madrid but believes the players have to do their part too.

Real Madrid have a two-goal advantage in the first-leg, where they beat the Blues 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu. Chelsea host them at Stamford Bridge for the second-leg tomorrow.

What Lampard said

Lampard said he believes the atmosphere at the Bridge will be positive, citing his experience on big Champions League nights at the stadium as evidence of how the fans back the team in big games.

However, Lampard says the players have to also engage the crowd with a top performance, saying they have to play with desire and know-how, believing that is the only way they can turn the game around.

"I have no doubt it'll be positive. It is down to us as a team to play with desire and know-how to turn this game around. I've been here too many times on a Champions League night at Stamford Bridge not to understand that the atmosphere is going to be great," he said, per the BBC.

"It is down to us to engage the crowd. They can help us."

Kepa on beating Real Madrid

As previously reported, Chelsea's goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga believes they can overturn the tie against Real Madrid and knock them out to reach the semi-final of the Champions League, but he believes they have to do certain things.

Real Madrid have a two-goal advantage in the first-leg, where they beat the Blues 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu. Chelsea host them at Stamford Bridge for the second-leg tomorrow.
