According to latest reports, Liverpool have opened discussions with representatives of Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch as Jurgen Klopp aims to solve the midfield conundrum.
Liverpool keen on Gravenberch
German outlet BILD, have reported that Jurgen Klopp sees Gravenberch as a cheaper alternative to Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.
Following months of speculation and firm media reports linking Liverpool with a move for Jude Bellingham, things have changed in recent days with the price point becoming way too high for the Reds to even consider.
Klopp remains a huge admirer of Bellingham but has now been forced to look elsewhere.
Liverpool have been linked with several midfielders ahead of the summer window with the club obviously and desperately in need of reinforcements in that position.
Gravenberch has struggled since moving to Bayern Munich from Ajax, barely featuring and having no impact whatsoever.
Thomas Tuchel’s side could consider reasonable offers and would want interested parties to at least pay his market value as a minimum, which is believed to be around €30m.
That price point would suit Liverpool, and under Juergen Klopp, he could display the abilities he clearly possesses.
Liverpool eyeing more midifled additions
In related news, Liverpool have identified Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barellas as Klopp looks to overhaul his midfield for next season.
However, the Reds will have to contend with Manchester United and Chelsea for the Italian's services.
