Samuel Chukwueze stole the headlines after bagging a brace in an excellent display for Villarreal against defending champions Real Madrid in LaLiga.

But the hosts would kick-start the second half with every intention of winning the game.

Chances came for both teams as Quique Setien’s men were determined to not go down without a fight.
The visitors soon got rewarded for their efforts as Jose Luis Morales effort was confirmed as a goal in the 71st minute after a VAR check to level the scores again.
Villarreal continued to impress, really taking the game to Los Blancos and their efforts paid off once more after a moment of magic in the 80th minute,
Samuel Chukwueze recieved the ball at the edge of the box and did well to find space for himself before unleashing a stunning strike into the top left corner leaving Thibaut Courtois with absolutely no chance.

Chukwueze’s effort proved to be the difference between the two teams but not before Madrid’s appeal for a penalty in the 84th minute was overruled by VAR.
The win for Villarreal now puts them four points behind fourth-placed Real Sociedad.
And Madrid’s defeat means they remain 12 points behind league leaders Barcelona who play Girona on Monday, April 10.
