Shaw set to put pen to paper
Football Insider reports that Manchester United have reached an agreement with Luke Shaw on a new long-term contract, and both parties are close to putting pen to paper.
The left-back has been brilliant this season for Ten Hag's side, as they won their first trophy since 2017 and are still alive in the FA Cup and Europa League.
Newcastle were reportedly attentive to his situation and looking to pounce, as his contract was set to expire in 2013, but Manchester United activated the one-year extension, and are said to be close to confirming a longer-term contract.
Man United also work on De Gea and Rashford's contracts.
The League Cup winners are also reportedly working on contract extensions for David de Gea and Marcus Rashford.
For De Gea, whose contract expires this summer, it is reported that the club wants him to take a pay cut from his current £375,000 per week contract to continue at the club.
Rashford's case is similar to Shaw's, as his contract was also set to expire at the end of the season before Manchester United triggered a one-year extension.
His form this season bumps his contract renewal up the priority list, and he is expected to be tabled an offer soon enough.
