Manchester United want Osimhen as an alternative to Kane
Manchester United have identified Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen as an alternative to Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
Man Utd’s main priority this summer is a top-quality striker and have identified Kane as their number one target.
Manchester United want Harry Kane but Tottenham will not sell
The Red Devils see Kane as the perfect man to solve their attacking woes and help them compete for the big titles.
However, Man Utd are preparing for the possibility of missing out on Kane, with Tottenham unlikely to sell their prized asset this summer.
According to Skysports, Tottenham are unwilling to sell Kane to United this summer and are only focused on getting the England captain to sign a new contract at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Manchester United target Osimhen as Kane's alternative
As a result, United have put a contingency plan in place, with Osimhen the next in line. According to ESPN, United are also monitoring the situation of Osimhen in Naples.
Osimhen is a target for a host of Europe’s top clubs this summer, with Man Utd leading the race for his services.
The Super Eagles star has been unstoppable this season with 22 goals in 28 games for the Neapolitans.
Osimhen is the leading scorer in Serie A this season with 19 goals in 22 games while he also has another three goals in five Champions League matches.
United are aware of Osimhen’s strengths as a striker and are ready to make a move for him this summer if they are unable to sign Kane.
However, the Red Devils will have to pay a fee above €100m to sign Osimhen as Napoli are not interested in selling their top man, and will only sell if they receive a suitable offer.
United also face competition from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Manchester City for the Super Eagles star.
