The former Chelsea star praised Osimhen for his all-action display, including the penalty he won.

“It’s his desire to get on that goal sheet and to score another goal,”  Hoddle told BT Sport.

“He’s got that pace to go in behind defenders.

“Every defender will tell you they hate it if you’ve got a player that just drifts on the shoulder of them and then from there, and he does it every time.

“But he’s also good at holding up play as well. He’s got everything at the moment.

“He’s quick off the mark as we saw when he got the penalty. Even that penalty and how he got that penalty was incredible.

Hoddle added that he would love to see Osimhen bring his talents to the Premier League, with his fellow pundit and ex-Chelsea star Eniola Aluko saying she wants the Nigerian at Chelsea.

“He is a top, top player and let’s hope he can continue, be injury-free and end up in the Premier League. It would be lovely to see him play every other week,” Hoddle added.

Osimhen has been linked with a move away from Napoli, with Manchester United leading the race to sign him.

However, potential clubs will have to pay a the top dollar to sign the Nigeria international as he still has two years left on his contract in Naples, having arrived from Lille for a club-record fee of €75m in 2020.
