Atletico Madrid have announced the signing of Memphis Depay from Barcelona.
Memphis Depay has officially joined Atletico Madrid on a two-and-a-half-year contract from Barcelona.
The 28-year-old Dutch forward pushed for a transfer away from Barcelona, where he was used sparingly, and will now join league rivals Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid confirmed today through their official channels that they had signed Memphis Depay from Barcelona after he passed his medicals.

They did not publish the transfer fee, but reports estimate it at around €3-4 million, including bonuses.
The player will be presented at 6:00 pm in Atletico's Civitas Metropolitano.
According to the club's website, he would sign this January for the remainder of the season and two seasons after that.
Depay switch Spanish giants
Depay is another forward that has moved from Barcelona to Atletico Madrid in recent times.
The Dutch-Ghanaian follows in the footsteps of Barcelona legends Luis Suarez and David Villa, both of whom helped Atletico win league titles.
Antoine Griezmann also made a move recently from Barcelona to Atletico Madrid, although he initially moved to the Catalan club from the Rojiblancos.

After his contract with French club Lyon expired in 2017, Depay joined Barcelona on a free transfer in the summer of 2021.
He scored 14 goals for Barcelona in 47 games.
