EA FC 25: Osimhen, Lookman, Boniface headline Top 10 highest-rated Super Eagles stars

Ahead of FC 25’s release, EA are traditionally rolling out key features and details as a prequel to when the game finally drops.

Excitement and continued to build up for this year’s release and EA Sports has already revealed its exclusive list of the top 100 players in the game just days after the ratings leaked.

Notably, Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen stands out as the only Nigerian footballer among this elite group, despite a downgrade in his overall rating compared to the previous edition.

Currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, the 25-year-old retained his position as one of the best African players in EA FC 25 but has seen a downgrade from an 88 to 87 overall rating.

This adjustment comes after an underwhelming title defence last season for Napoli, affecting Osimhen's standing despite his remarkable individual performance.

Osimhen’s FC 25 rating places him just behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who maintained his 89 rating as the highest-rated African player in the game.

Meanwhile, Ademola Lookman of Atalanta maintained his rating of 81 from the previous edition, despite shinning in a standout season that included a hat-trick in the Europa League final.

Although, it is quite shocking that his consistent performance for club and country has not translated into an upgrade, given his pivotal role in Atalanta's European success and the Super Eagles’ journey to the AFCON 2023 final.

Meanwhile, Victor Boniface, who made a significant impact during his debut season with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, enjoyed the biggest upgrade amongst all the Super Eagles player.

The 23-year-old forward was awarded a substantial rating increase to 81, reflecting his impressive performances and potential.
