With a contentious sixth-round stoppage of Jeamie Tshikeva Nigerian-born David Adeleye took home the British heavyweight belt.
Adeleye won the vacant Lonsdale Belt on the undercard of Joe Joyce vs. Filip Hrgovic at Manchester, England's Co-op Live Arena.
Adeleye was vying for the British title for the first time since his unsuccessful try against Fabio Wardley in 2023.

After the underdog was floored again, Kearney waved the action off at 55 seconds of Round 6 after Tshikeva was badly knocked down by the shot and never got back up.
When the bell rang, both men, perhaps shockingly, touched gloves as they went back to their respective corners even.
In the second, Tshikeva displayed the jab once more, and he began to gain confidence after placing his right hand on top of Adeleye's head.
Adeleye saw a chance to do just that as the sixth got underway and seized it.
Tshikeva withdrew with his hands down during a clinch, and Adeleye promptly delivered a left hook that knocked his opponent to the ground.
Tshikeva got back up, but another powerful overhand right quickly brought him down again.
He got back on his feet, but Kearney waved it off because he was judged too unfit to continue.
