On February 22, 2003, Tyson defeated Clifford Etienne via knockout, marking his final victory in the ring. At the time, Paul was six years old.

Paul most recently defeated Ryan Bourland by TKO on March 2 to secure his sixth knockout victory.
It was his third consecutive victory and increased his boxing record to 9-1 (6 KOs). On February 26, 2023, Paul suffered his lone defeat via split decision to Tommy Fury.
He has since defeated veteran UFC fighters Nate Diaz and Andre August.

Speaking on his Pound for Pound podcast, Nigerian Nightmare Kamaru Usman slammed Jake Paul for fighting an old Mike Tyson.
He said, "At some point, someone has to be guiding this kid's career.

"Do you wanna be taken seriously as a boxer or do you want to just be that famous youtuber that did the boxing thing?
"Because I do think he's talented and I do think Jake Paul can get good at boxing, but it's at what cost you expect me as a professional fighter, as a real fighter to respect you for this.
In the first-ever live combat sports show on the platform, the bout will only be available for streaming on Netflix.
