James Nnaji was unable to save Barcelona from humiliation against Real Madrid in Euro League final four.

In this season's Euroleague, Barcelona has reached its breaking point. 

Barçalona's quest for a third Euroleague championship came to an end as Real Madrid defeated them 78-66 in the Final Four semifinals.

Despite a strong start for Saras Jasikevicius' team, Sergio Rodriguez's nine straight points in the last session all but clinched the game.

At the Zalgirio Arena in Kaunas, Lithuania, Walter Tavares led Los Merengues to victory with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocks.

With 16 points, Barcelona's Alex Abrines led all scorers on the court.

In the EuroLeague final, record-holder Real Madrid will play Greek club Olympiacos Piraeus for their 11th championship, while Barcelona will play Monaco for third place.

James Nnaji unable to inspire Barcelona past Real Madrid in Euro League El Clasico

When Real Madrid takes on Barcelona in any sport it is referred to as El Clasico because of the long history between the two clubs.

Just as the football game is intense, this meeting between Barcelona and Real Madrid on the European stage did not disappoint.

Both teams met in the EuroLeague group stage and the outcome was the same as Real Madrid emerged winners.

Nigerian professional basketball player James Ugochukwu Nnaji was in action for Barcelona against Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old came off the bench to feature for nine minutes. He recorded just one point from the free throw line and with two rebounds and one assist.

Nnaji has declared for the 2023 NBA Draft and is projected to be a second-round pick.
