The Denver Nuggets take control of the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a win in Game 3.

The Denver Nuggets continued their dominance over the Minnesota Timberwolves with a 120-111 victory away in an NBA Western Conference round one Game 3 NBA Playoff fixture in the early hours of Saturday, April 22, 2023.

The Nuggets already recorded a win in the first two games protecting their home court.

The Timberwolves playing in front of their home fans were able to keep up with the Nuggets as the first quarter ended up tied.

The Nuggets in the second quarter were able to get into an offensive flow to put up 33 points and take a six-point advantage to the half-time break.

There were som many lead changes in the third quarter as the Nuggets and Timberwolves both produced 33 points each.

In the fourth quarter, the Timberwolves were unable to produce an extended run to overturn the deficit as the Nuggets held on for a nine-point victory.

Nikola Jokic drops triple-double to inspire Nuggets to victory

Reigning two-time MVP Nikola Jokic was again at his best to inspire the Denver Nuggets to a comfortable victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jokic dropped a triple-double of 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists in a monster performance.

In 39 minutes of action, Jokic made nine of his 13 shots, was two of three from three-point range, and also contributed one steal.

Jokic had help from Jamal Murray who put up 18 points, nine assists, six rebounds, two steals, and one block in 39 minutes of action.

Michael Porter Junior was also impressive leading the Nuggets in scoring with 25 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and one block in 40 minutes.

Porter made 10 of his 17 shots and was four of eight from three-point range.

The Nuggets will now aim to end the series against the Timberwolves in Game 4 scheduled for Monday, April 24, 2023.
