After making his way back to Brooklyn, Kevin Durant scored 33 points to help the Phoenix Suns defeat the Nets 136-120.

In his first game back in Brooklyn following his trade to Phoenix over a year ago, Kevin Durant added eight assists.

After receiving a mixed response in the first half, he helped quiet the crowd by scoring which saw the Suns defeat the Nets 42–26, having led by three at the half.

Although Durant's return made the game eligible for national television, the second half of the game wasn't really a contest.

With Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker, the Suns are attempting to establish themselves as title contenders, while the Nets, who were 19-28 and outside of the postseason picture not too long ago, had their own Big 3 with Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden.

The Suns defeated the smaller Nets club with Jusuf Nurkic's 28 points and 11 rebounds, winning their ninthof 11 games.

They are now 3-2 on a tour that still includes visits in Atlanta and Washington, the former home of Bradley Beal.
