Steph Curry ties Hakeem Olajuwon as Golden State Warriors take Game 3 against Sacramento Kings
The Golden Warriors recorded a 114-97 victory against the Sacramento Kings in Game 3 of an NBA Western Conference round one Playoff fixture in the early hours of Friday, April 21, 2023.
The Sacramento Kings defeated the Warriors in Game 1 and Game to take control of the series.
The Warriors had to go into Game Three without veteran forward Draymond Green who picked up a suspension after he stomped on Kings Center Domantas Sabonis in Game 2.
The Warriors started out with the intention of avoiding defeat on their home court as they establish a nine-point lead at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter was back and forth but the Warriors pushed their lead to 12 going to the halftime break.
The third quarter was even as the Warriors traded buckets with the Kings.
The Warriors continued to hold on to their advantage adding to record a 17-point victory.

Curry put up 36 points, three assists, six rebounds, two steals, and one block.
In 37 minutes of action, Curry made 12 of his 25 shots including six of 12 from three-point range and a perfect six of the free throw line.
Curry has passed Dallas Maverick legend and soon to be NBA Hall of Fame member Dirk Nowitzki for the 16th most career points in NBA Playoff history.
Curry also tied American professional basketball legend of Nigerian descent Hakeem Olajuwon at 10th place for the most 30-point games in NBA playoff history.

Curry had help from Warriors big man Kevon Looney who had a massive 20 rebounds to go with nine assists and four points.
The Warriors now behind 2-1 will aim to tie the series against the Kings led by Coach of the Year winner Mike Brown on Sunday, April 23, 2023.
