James Nnaji shines for Barcelona in victory against Bologna

Barcelona recorded a blowout 92-75 victory against Virtus Segafredo Bologna in an Euro League fixture played on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

The Spanish side continues to dominate on the continent as they put up an imperious performance against the Italian side.

Playing away from home, Barcelona came out hot and raced to a five-point lead.

Nikola Mirotic caught fire as Barcelona outscored Bologna by 15 points in the second quarter.

Led by Álex Abrines Barcelona took a 20-point lead to the halftime break.

Barcelona did not let up and outscored their opponents by 15 points again in the third quarter.

With a 35-point lead secured, Barcelona Head coach Šarūnas Jasikevičius opted to rest star players to finish the game.

Bologna outplayed the Barcelona second unit by seven points but the Spanish side held on to record a 17-point victory.

Nigerian professional basketball star James Ugochukwu Nnaji was again in action for Barcelona in the victory against Bologna.

Nnaji was part of the Barcelona second unit for most of the fourth quarter.

He featured off the bench for nine minutes and recorded six points and three rebounds.

Nnaji made all two shots and was also perfect from the free throw line in an impressive outing.

The Nigerian continues to take advantage of the minutes given to him as he is highly rated as an NBA prospect.

Nnaji is expected to return to action for Barcelona when they take on Breogan in their next league fixture scheduled for Sunday, February 12, 2023.
