You can go faster with training - 'Talented speedster' gives Usain Bolt reason for track return ahead of LA 2028 Olympics
Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt may have found a reason to make track return after making a rare coaching offer to train a 'talented speedster', who is a popular internet personality.
The eight-time Olympic gold medallist offered to train YouTube streamer iShowSpeed to be faster ahead of the LA 2028 Olympic Games.
In a personal Instagram video note to the internet personality, Bolt acknowledged the streamer's raw pace and said he can help him to get even faster, which iShowSpeed shared during his livestream on Friday (May 30, 2025).
"I'm retired now, so I'm not running," the 39-year-old icon said in the video. "But I can coach you to go faster. You're already fast, but everybody wants to be faster, right?"
A visibly stunned iShowSpeed reacted with excitement, calling Bolt a "legend" and immediately accepting the proposal. "Let’s lock that training session in," he told his audience.
Bolt's offer follows the streamer's announcement of a new YouTube series, "Speed Goes Pro," which will see him compete against prominent figures in the world of sports.
iShowSpeed beats Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo in sprint race
Backing up his declaration of competing against prominent figures in sports and running at LA 2028 Olympics, iShowSpeed raced against reigning Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo as part of activities for his "Speed Does Africa" tour.
The streamer challenged the homeboy Olympic hero to a head-to-head sprint dash, an event that quickly captured global attention online.
In viral clips of the race, IShowSpeed showcased his trademark explosive start. In contrast, Tebogo appeared to have a slow getaway from the line, a stumble that ultimately allowed the YouTube personality to cross the finish line first.
Clearly thrilled with the outcome, Speed celebrated his win, exclaiming, "I won that though!" He then shook hands with the Olympian and offered a second race, asking, "You want to go again?"
Tebogo graciously conceded defeat. "No, it's fine," he replied. "I'll let you take the win."

Despite being a friendly race, it further confirmed Speed's prowess as a talented speedster. If he commits and eventually links up to be professionally coached by Bolt, he can become one of the world's best sprinters ahead of the LA 2028 Olympics.
iShowSpeed's previous tests' against prominent sprinters
He previously tested his speed against reigning Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles in a 50m race for the prize money of $100,000. While Lyles won that contest, he later admitted he was impressed by Speed's "elite" start.
The streamer also offered Olympic star Sha'Carri Richardson an open-race challenge, to which the sprint queen declined that 'she doesn't race for free' but instead 'invited him to her training group' to teach him how to be a sprinter first.
