World champion Tobi Amasan is shaping back to form, after a convincing win at the Racers Grand Prix in Jamaica.

World Record holder Tobi Amusan is back to winning ways after blazing to a Season's Best (SB) of 12.57s (-0.4) to win the women's 100m Hurdles event at the Racers Grand Prix in Jamaica.

Amusan finished far ahead of US sensation Tia Jones in 12.72s, while home girl Megan Tapper was third in 12.80s.

It is a significant winning relief for the Nigerian, who had faced a series of losses since the outdoor season began. In fact, it is her first victory in the hurdles this season and second in her events, after kicking off her season with a 200m win in Auburn.

Amusan will later reveal that she had a 'major' injury earlier in the season, which she was recovering from and getting back to shape.

She said this after her eighth-place finish at the LA Grand Prix, which Pulse Sports reported.

With her now back to winning ways, Amusan can build on this momentum in her next competitions as she continues preparations with expectations of successfully defending her world title in Budapest.
