Angry reactions have surfaced online since the sad incident of an American high school kid being smacked in the head with a baton by a fellow runner, leading to her suffering a concussion and potential skull fracture.

At the VSHL Class 3 State Indoor Championships in the United States, a high school track runner Kaelen Tucker got attacked with a baton by fellow runner in the middle of a relay race.

Tucker was on the second leg of the 4x200m relay at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, when she got smacked in the head by an incoming runner, Alaila Everett, who couldn’t control her emotions and physically lashed out in that moment.

"When we got to the curve she kept bumping me in my arm and when we got off the curve I finally passed her and that was when she hit me with the baton," said Tucker after the incident.

Sadly, it is reported that she suffered a concussion and a potential skull fracture, and it's unclear if she'll file charges.

Meanwhile, Everett is a student at I. C. Norcom High School, Portsmouth, VA - allegedly the most ghetto school on the Southside of Hampton Roads.

Following the incident, her school's 4x200m squad comprising Amora Mosely, Everett, Adrianne Ferguson, and Laiyah Banks was disqualified, and reports have it that neither the girl's mother nor the coach apologized for the incident.

This has led to several angry reactions after the release of the video which has now gone viral on X, and here are some below.

"She should be banned from sports and arrested for assault. What horrible sportsmanship!"

"Hitting someone in the back of the head with a metal baton is assault no matter where it happens."

"I watched it several times to make sure it couldn’t have been an accident. It wasn’t."

"The State should file charges even if the runner who was injured doesn't This type of transgression can't be ignored."
