College standout sprinters Tima Godbless and Ezekiel Nathaniel will lead 20 Nigerian athletes to the NCAA Division I Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon from Wednesday, June 11 through Saturday, June 14
The championships is the most prestigious track and field competition in the US college circuit and will feature the best athletes competing for their individual schools gunning to earn points that'll position or win their school the NCAA title.

With several Nigerian athletes currently on scholarships in US colleges, 20 talented rising stars qualified for the NCAA Championships from the regionals.
Top on the list is Godbless, who clocked an outstanding Personal Best (PB) of 10.91s to win her 100m heat at the West Regionals and make the final.

The Louisiana State University (LSU) sophomore also qualified in the 200m event and played a vital role in anchoring her school's 4x100m relay team to make the championship.

In the men's events, Auburn University's Ajayi tops the list having powered to 100m PB of 9.96s to finish second at his regionals. His younger compatriot Israel Okon also qualified in the 100m, and both will be part of their school's 4x100m relay team.

Meanwhile, an interesting event to watchout for is the 400m, which has the talented duo of Samuel Ogazi (Alabama University) and Edidiong Udo (Ohio State University) aiming for a position finish and can push each other to new PBs.
Other athletes in good position and capable of winning NCAA titles in their respective events are: Ezekiel Nathaniel (Men's 400mH), Temitope Adeshina (Women's High Jump), and Charles Godfred (Men's Long Jump).
