ATHLOS NYC 2025: Tara Davis-Woodhall dominates with farthest mark of the season

Olympic and world champion Tara Davis-Woodhall has surely forgotten how to lose after another domineering performance to win the long jump event with the farthest mark of the season at ATHLOS NYC 2025.

Fresh from winning her first world title in Tokyo, the American jump queen showed no weakness or fatigue from a long season, as she put up dominant displays on the two-day long jump meet in New York.

On Day 1 in Times Square on Thursday night, Davis-Woodhall leaped a massive 6.81m on her final jump to earn her spot in the ATHLOS final alongside Britain's Jazmin Sawyers (6.77m) and fellow USA long jumper Quanesha Burks (6.38m).

The second day at the Icahn Stadium proved even more astonishing as she soared to a world-leading mark of 7.13m - which equals the same distance that saw her become world champion in Tokyo.

For context on how much she dominated a strong field, any of her sequence marks of 6.65m (0.5), 6.82m (-0.1), and finally 7.13m (0.1) would have still secured her victory, to show how dominant she was in the three-round women's long jump event at the ATHLOS NYC.

Davis-Woodhall now remains unbeaten over the past two years and has won every meet or championship she has competed in, demonstrating her unbeatable form.

With the 2025 season done and dusted, the undisputed long jump queen will hope to extend the same streak next season as she continues to build her legacy in the sport.
