Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie joins Brighton & Hove Albion

Nigerian international goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has officially signed with Albion Women, the highly-rated 24-year-old will join the club on July 1, following the expiration of her contract with Paris FC.

Nnadozie was in superb shape and form against Portugal.

Who is Chiamaka Nnadozie?

Nnadozie began her professional career with Rivers Angels, where she won the Nigeria Women’s Premier League in 2019 and lifted the Nigeria Women’s Cup three times.

Her standout performances earned her the IFFHS Africa’s Best Woman Goalkeeper award in the same year.

Nnadozie is braced for tougher test ahead WAFCON.

In January 2020, she moved to Paris FC, where she made 118 appearances and gained widespread acclaim, especially after her heroics in the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine final, where she saved two penalties to help defeat Paris Saint-Germain.

Her performances in France led to a historic moment in 2024 when she became the first African player to be named UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season, and she also took home the D1 Arkema Best Goalkeeper award.

Nnadozie also featured 16 times in the UEFA Women’s Champions League between 2022 and 2025, showcasing her talent on the European stage.

What Albion Women’s head coach said

Albion Women’s head coach Dario Vidosic expressed his excitement at the acquisition, praising Nnadozie’s pedigree and experience at the highest level.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Chiamaka to the club. She’s a talented and commanding goalkeeper who will bring consistency and confidence to our defensive line," Vidosic said.

He continued, “She has competed at the highest level, with valuable experience in a variety of cup competitions including the Champions League. We’re confident she’ll add both depth and drive to a squad already full of ambition as we continue to build for next season.”

Nnadozie will be aiming to lead the Super Falcons to their 10th 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
