Morgan Rogers gave the Blues an early lead in the seventh minute, finishing a swift counter-attack.

Hull responded strongly, with Mohamed Belloumi equalising in the 28th minute before the Algerian midfielder struck again six minutes later to put the visitors ahead.

Those goals mean Chelsea have now conceded 9 goals in their opening 4 league matches, despite scoring 10 times, the defence is certainly cause for concern.

Joao Pedro came to the rescue in the 66th minute, finishing neatly from Cole Palmer’s low cross to restore parity. Despite late pressure, Chelsea could not find a winner.

Alonso will certainly have much to consider after a shaky start to the season.

Hull, on the other hand, continue their fairytale unbeaten run with 2 wins and 2 draws from 4 games.
