Nigeria 3-1 Ghana: Super Falcons beat Black Queens in jollof derby

The Super Falcons of Nigeria recorded a convincing 3-0 win against the Black Queens of Ghana in an international friendly played on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

The eagerly anticipated jollof derby held in Lanouria, Morocco showcased the fierce rivalry between the two West African football powerhouses.

The match, part of the pre-tournament buildup for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) was a one sided encounter.

The Super Falcons came into the game after a 0-0 draw against world No. 22.

After settling into the game Henan Huishang striker Chiwendu Ihezuo showcased her predatory instincts with a well-taken goal in the 34th minute.

Bay FC striker Asisat Oshoala converted penalty in the 44th minute to give the Super Falcons a two goal lead going to the halftime break.

In the 50th minute, Captain Rasheedat Ajibade the scoresheet for Nigeria's third of the game.
