Galatasaray insider Uğur Karakullukçu voiced concerns about the club's communication and the sequence of its transfer negotiations.

He used the ongoing links to Onyedika to illustrate his point about the potential pitfalls of the club's current approach.

Karakullukçu speaks on Onyedika’s transfer

Karakullukçu argued that building public anticipation for major signings before deals are finalised creates undue pressure on everyone involved, from the players to the supporters.

"If you start by targeting Fabian Ruiz, saying, 'We're keeping Onyedika on hold, we're going to sign the star of the Africa Cup of Nations,' and then you end up signing an 18-year-old in February, it's not fair to the young player or the fans," Karakullukçu stated, as reported by Habersarikirmizi

"If you announce that signing on the same day as N'Golo Kante, you're asking for a backlash," he concluded.

These comments place Onyedika within the context of Galatasaray's ambitious midfield recruitment plans, rather than as a standalone target.

His name being mentioned alongside established stars underscores the high expectations set by the club's early transfer activity.

Onyedika has been on Galatasaray's radar for some time, valued for his defensive prowess, high energy, and ability to bring balance to the midfield.

However, Karakullukçu's critique suggests that the primary issue is not the quality of the players being targeted, but rather the timing and structure of the club's decision-making process in the transfer market.
