‘You always have to listen’ - Manchester City star Rodri opens to Real Madrid move

Rodri’s performance in recent years for club and country has earned him massive recognition in Europe.

The midfielder was named the best player in the world after winning the Ballon d’Or award a few weeks ago.

The Spanish midfielder beat Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr to the award, which did not go well with the LaLiga giants.

Rodri has made it known that if Real Madrid comes calling for him, he will consider making the transfer.

He told the Spanish podcast El Larguero, “When Real Madrid call you, the best club in history and the most successful… 

“It makes you proud and you always have to listen. It’s obvious. You always have to pay attention.”

A few weeks after the midfielder's Ballon d'Or victory, which caused Real Madrid to ignore the award ceremony, Rodri made his comment.

Rodri stated that it would be hard to reject the Spanish powerhouses if they came calling, but he still has a lot of respect for the team.

The 28-year-old, who came through Atletico Madrid's junior system, is also unafraid to join Real Madrid despite once playing for their bitter rivals.

Meanwhile, Rodri has weighed in on the debate of who is the GOAT between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and claimed the Portuguese 'has no innate talent'.
