Ajayi urges his team to add more effort

Speaking after the match, Ajayi acknowledged the team's disappointment but emphasised their strong recent form.

"Yeah, for sure (we're disappointed); we go into every game wanting to win," Ajayi told Hull Live.

"Today was no different, so to be in the position we were in, we were definitely disappointed not to come away with the three points.

"But, if you look at the bigger picture, it's seven points since the international break and, what, 10 from the last 12? There's definitely a lot of positives we can take from the week in total," he added.

Ajayi, who has become a key leader since joining on a free transfer in the summer, praised his teammates' resilience and confirmed that the squad had already dissected the late collapse.

"That's credit to the boys. It would obviously have been nice to see out the three points, but it's not all doom and gloom," he explained.

"We spoke about it in the changing room after the game. We know exactly the few details that we missed out on that would have prevented that (equalising goal), and now it's down to us to put that right for the rest of the season moving forward.”
