‘Worldwide nobody is more famous than me’ — Ronaldo gloats about being most popular footballer in the world
Cristiano Ronaldo has once again sent the media into a frenzy after boldly declaring that he is the most famous person on the planet, even more famous than former U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a newly released teaser from his upcoming interview with Piers Morgan, the 40-year-old Portuguese shared his confidence in his popularity.
Ronaldo’s flexes fame
During the interview, Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, appeared in a relaxed mood as he discussed fame, influence, and legacy with British broadcaster Piers Morgan.
Laughing as he made the remark, Ronaldo challenged Morgan to “do a global poll” to see who the world believes is the most famous person alive, adding, “Worldwide, nobody is more famous than me.”
His confidence is well-founded, with more than 620 million Instagram followers, Ronaldo remains the most-followed human being on Earth, far surpassing athletes, celebrities, and even world leaders.
A legacy that transcends football
Beyond his global fame, Ronaldo also reflected on his ambitions to lead Portugal to a historic World Cup triumph.
He pointed out that if Portugal were to win the tournament, it would “shock the world,” given the nation’s size and footballing history.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner recently extended his Al-Nassr contract until 2027, keeping alive his hopes of playing at another World Cup while chasing an unprecedented 1,000 career goals.
Even as he approaches the twilight of his career, Ronaldo’s influence shows no signs of fading, whether on the pitch, online, or in global debates about who truly reigns as the most famous man alive.
