"Where does Haaland fit in" - Guardiola responds to Slot's comment on Isak
Isak joined Liverpool on transfer deadline day after going on strike at Newcastle to facilitate a deal to leave the Magpies.
The Swedish international was signed for a British record fee of £125 million, surpassing the previous record of 110 million.
Guardiola's response to Slot
Pep Guardiola previewed Sunday's derby against Ruben Amorim's Manchester United this Friday, ahead of their Premier League fourth-round clash.
The Manchester City manager also responded to Arne Slot, who recently called Isak "probably" the "best striker in the world."
"Where does Haaland fit in? A bit higher up. Isak is an exceptional player. Isak should be a top player for the price they paid.
Others might say Mbappé, Messi, Cristiano [Ronaldo]... I wouldn't trade Haaland for anyone. I know him, and I like him," Guardiola stated in a press conference, as reported by Abola.
