“We have the humility to believe that we can win this Cup of Nations. Cameroon needs no introduction. We know it’s going to be tough again,” Regragui said.

The Moroccan tactician has faced criticism from sections of the fanbase over his approach during the competition, with some questioning his game management and team selections.

However, Regragui appeared unfazed, focusing instead on the bigger objective of lifting the continental trophy on home soil.

Morocco, buoyed by strong home support, is aiming to capitalise on familiarity with conditions as they navigate the knockout stages.

A victory over the Indomitable Lions would propel the Atlas Lions into the semi-finals, where they would face either Nigeria or Algeria, two of Africa’s most formidable sides.

Cameroon, five-time AFCON champions, present a stern test, boasting a rich tournament pedigree and physical intensity.
