We will cope without them — Amorim ready to make top-four without AFCON stars

Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Amad Diallo, Bryan Mbeumo, and Noussair Mazraoui are set to join their national teams for the Africa Cup of Nations, ruling them out of upcoming club fixtures.

The trio's departure comes at a pivotal moment for United, who are aiming for consistency and potentially locking down a top-4 spot in the Premier League over the next two months.

Amorim's comments came in the aftermath of a frustrating night for the Red Devils, who were held to a thrilling 4-4 draw by Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Monday.

While the team's attack was as potent as ever, defensive frailties ultimately cost them two crucial points.

The draw leaves Manchester United in sixth place in the Premier League standings, tied on points with Liverpool as the competition for European qualification heats up.

Speaking to the media after the match, Amorim acknowledged the challenge posed by the players' absence but expressed confidence in his remaining squad members to step up.

"Amad and Mbeumo will go for the AFCON now," Amorim stated. "We will try to find a solution with the players that we have. We are ready to cope."

He added, "We will try to find a way to score the goals in a different way."
