Fans hails Chelle’s improvement of the Super Eagles team
A lot of reactions have covered the whole of social media after Nigeria defeated Algeria in the quarter-final of the AFCON competition.
Chelle, who recently clocked one year as the head coach of the Super Eagles, received praise for making the Nigerian team a good side to watch.
Reacting on X, one fan said, “Deep down we need Eric Chelle at Chelsea Football Club. Bro single-handedly changed the playing style of the Nigerian Super Eagles. We are currently the best team in African football.”
Another fan commented, “Eric Chelle deserves accolades for how much work he has done with the Super Eagles. In the past, you watched a game and picked out a few individuals who stood out, but now you see the identity, you see clarity, you see team spirit, and you can easily see 11 players sweating it out to fight for every ball. This is the Super Eagles identity many of us have missed. Thank you, Chelle.”
A fan responded, “Thank you 🙏 Eric Chelle for restoring our lost glory as the giant of Africa.”
One fan wrote, “People underrate the good work Eric Chelle has done. When was the last time we saw the Nigerian Super Eagles play this kind of beautiful football? If you think it’s easy to play Algeria, then I don’t know. Give Eric Chelle his flowers already!”
A fan replied, “Regardless of the AFCON outcome, we need to keep Eric Chelle and give him the support he’s asking for. If the NFF can trust him and pay him properly, he can definitely take the Super Eagles to the next level.”
Another fan commented, “OMG, where does the Super Eagles of Nigeria get the Arsenal level of confidence from? Éric Chelle, you have changed our lives.”
