The Crocodiles, who held Nigeria to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture in Uyo last November, are aiming to pull off a major upset as they host the three-time African champions.

Speaking to journalists in Polokwane, Notsi revealed that his squad has no injury worries ahead of the contest, a boost he believes could make the difference.

“Fortunately, we don’t have any serious injuries that we can worry about coming into this fixture. It’s a clean bill of health for us,” the coach said.

He acknowledged the challenge of facing a star-studded Nigerian side but expressed optimism that his players can rise to the occasion.

“It’s going to be a tough match against one of the best teams on the continent, a side filled with players competing in top European leagues,” Notsi said.

He added, “We know it won’t be easy, but the self-belief and confidence we’ve built from our past performances give us hope.”

Reflecting on Lesotho’s campaign so far, Notsi noted that their resilience in earlier matches has boosted the team’s morale heading into the fixture.

“Our last games gave us belief and hope that we can redeem ourselves. We believe we can secure points that will place Lesotho in a better position going forward,” he said.

The Crocodiles currently sit outside the qualification spots, but see this encounter as a chance to make a statement on home soil.

Nigeria, meanwhile, will be desperate for three points to revive their qualification hopes after a mixed run of results in Group C.
