We are fully ready - Super Eagles goalkeeper rallies ahead of World Cup qualifiers
The Super Eagles face a decisive period in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign as they prepare to confront Rwanda and South Africa.
Nigeria currently sits fourth in Group C with seven points from six matches, leaving no margin for error in the race for the sole automatic qualification ticket.

Speaking ahead of the double-header, the Hapoel Jerusalem shot-stopper noted that the players understand the gravity of the situation.
“We are fully aware of what is at stake in these matches. It’s crucial that we claim maximum points against Rwanda and South Africa. The group table doesn’t look good for us at the moment, but we will keep fighting until the end. In football, nothing is over until it is truly over,” Adeleye said.
The Eagles’ immediate challenge comes this Saturday when they welcome Rwanda’s Amavubi to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Just three days later, the team will travel to Bloemfontein for another high-pressure clash against Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Toyota Stadium.
With four games left to play, Nigeria must secure victories in all remaining fixtures to stand a realistic chance of booking their spot at the global showpiece.
